I have lived and worked in Washington Connecticut since 1997. Natives of New York City, my husband and I decided to make a home and raise our family in the Litchfield Hills right from the start. We believe that this area provides the very best of both worlds: easy access to New York City combined with a peaceful, family oriented, small town way of life. I was educated in New York at The Brearley School and Barnard College. After traveling and working in France and Italy after college, I went on to complete my MA in Art History at the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University. I worked at the family company, Richard L Feigen & Co., an art dealership and gallery in New York City specializing in 15th through 21st century museum quality art for six years before founding Waterleaf, LLC, a tea based personal care and home furnishings distributor in 1994. My extensive experience in the art and design worlds provides an excellent segue into real estate. Developing an acute ear for listening to the client; discerning different needs, requirements and tastes, is inherent to both lines of work. Both the art and real estate markets require a trained skill in sales, but more importantly, in developing an astute understanding of what the client is looking for. I look forward to continuing to be an ambassador for Washington and the surrounding towns of Litchfield County by helping you to find your next weekend or full time home here.
